Unlike the many wanna-bes that followed in it's wake (many of which are not published) Wide Awake fits more into the Young Adult (or even New Adult) genre than contemporary romance. Angst heavy and with a staggeringly long word count, this is the mother of all AH Twilight fan fics. I could never get into the story myself, not for a lack of trying, but I can say that it is easy to see why it appealed to so many readers and remains the most popular and beloved Twilight fan fiction EVER!
