Long time geek, fangirl, mother, and reader. I've got a lot to say, you might not like it all, but it will be honest and hopefully helpful.

Llama Llama Red Pajama

Llama Llama Red Pajama - Anna Dewdney This is a great book for any kid, but I especially recommend it for ASD kids. Both my sons are on the autism spectrum and I have struggled to find books that would keep them engaged during story time. This one was a winner from day one (when they were 2 yo and 3 yo) and it is still one of their favorite stories. The rhythm and repetitive style of the writing is PERFECT for ASD kids, especially if you fully commit as a reader and really play up the tantrum part of the story, a part that both my boys love. As they are getting older it has become a good way to start discuss tantrums and patience with them. This is a classic, must have for any young child's book shelf.
